Trilogy Studio vs Data Studio
Trilogy Studio vs Data Studio
FKA Looker Studio FKA Data Studio
We're long-time fans of Google's Data Studio.
There was no faster way to get a quick visualization stood up and shared when you worked on the google stap.
We aspire Trilogy Studio to get to that same level of velocity, while shaving off some of the rough edges - just like we wanted to do with Trilogy vs SQL.
Some Comparison Notes
Trilogy studio is focused purely on SQL and provides generic acceleration through aggregate resolution, but is not tightly integrated with Google's ecosystem in the way data studio is. (BI Engine, we miss you!)
Trilogy studio has a public hosted option, but can also be served internally or run locally.
We think that the easy of modeling - write query directly - plus native cross-filtering provides a compelling 'time to value' vs datastudio, which is fast - but still a lot of clicks - and has limited flexibility for complex queries.
